The Los Angeles County Arts Commission and Fractured Atlas are partnering with LA Stage Alliance and Community Arts Resources on SpaceFinderLA. This free online resource for the creative community and the general public will, for the first time, provide an online searchable database of creative spaces in the County of Los Angeles. The site will include venues for rehearsals, performances, auditions, classes, instruction, photo/film/video shoots, special events, parties, showcases, workshops, meetings, literary readings and more.

SpaceFinderLA will publicly launch on June 1, 2011, but in the meantime, Community Arts Resources is coordinating the campaign to populate the site with at least 500 spaces prior to the public launch. Contracted by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, CARS is utilizing its extensive network of performance venues, as well as it wide reach to the Los Angeles cultural community, to ensure that SpaceFinderLA is a robust, effective resource for the LA creative community and public at large.

Venues are encouraged to create their own free profile. There is no cost to anyone who participates and it takes under two minutes to build a basic profile. You can find a step-by-step guide at here.
