For over fifteen years, CARS has produced Los Angeles' preeminent family festival, reaching tens of thousands of people per year (over 300,000 to date). These four yearly festivals at the Brentwood Getty and two annual festivals at the Villa in Malibu highlight particular exhibitions, the diversity of Los Angeles, as well as the permanent collection of the Getty Museum. CARS commissions theater performances, site specific work, hands-on workshops, live music, storytelling and self-guided interactive museum tours specifically for the festival. Awarded LA Parent magazine "Best Family Festival" in 2002 and 2004.
